Singham Again Trailer Review : WTF !!

The trailer for Singham Again has been released, and wow, it’s intense! My heart was racing because I was so glued to the screen, I forgot to breathe. Honestly, what was that? I wasn’t expecting anything different, but still, it feels like something out of this world. The movie, set to release on November 1 this Diwali, is the third part in the Singham series, officially titled Singham Again. It's the fifth movie in Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe (RSCU), following SinghamSingham ReturnsSimmba, and Sooryavanshi.

After watching the trailer, it feels like Singham Again is basically Sooryavanshi but bigger. In the previous one, we had three heroes and one heroine, but here, there are five characters, all with guns, ready for action. The action scenes are the same as before—where they stand back-to-back, form a circle, or walk in slow motion holding cool guns, with explosions happening behind them. These are the same shots you can find in Sooryavanshi’s trailer, side by side. Talking about the trailers, Sooryavanshi had a 4-minute, 16-second trailer, and I remember wondering why they were calling it a trailer—it was more like a short film. But I wasn’t expecting them to make the next one even longer. This one is almost five minutes long!

Even though it's a long trailer, I didn't feel bored. They kept introducing new characters every few seconds. First, we see Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor, followed by Deepika Padukone with her action scenes and some dialogue. After two minutes, we had only seen three characters. Then, Tiger Shroff enters in his iconic vest (of course, we all know there will be some shirtless scenes). Ranveer Singh also makes his entry, repeating the same kind of role he had before. By the four-minute mark, they introduce Akshay Kumar, but as expected, he arrives later in the film, but still, they tease his cameo in the trailer.

Even with all the craziness, the trailer kept me entertained. The dialogues are dramatic, like everyone calling Singham their guru. There’s also a nod to following Shivaji Maharaj's teachings. And the action scenes? Well, you know what to expect—cars flying, doors being smashed open, and the famous "Daya, break the door!" line. You can't complain because it's exactly what you signed up for!

One thing that made me smile was the sheer absurdity of it all. It reminded me of Godzilla vs. Kong, where anything could happen. Here, they're just flying cars off helicopters! Story-wise, it was rumored earlier, and now it's confirmed that they're taking inspiration from the Ramayana. You can kind of guess how the movie is going to play out just from the trailer, but one thing they didn’t reveal was how the movie will end. You’ll have to figure that part out.

I do worry a little though—what if they turn this into another Adipurush? If you pause and look closely at the Ramayana scenes in the trailer, they seem a bit small in scale, like they shot it with a backdrop because they couldn’t afford to go to real locations. It honestly looks worse than Adipurush. To understand what I mean, check out the recently released Kalki, which had better visuals for its epic scenes.

In terms of villains, I feel like they wanted to create a bigger one this time. So they took inspiration from Ramayana for the hero and villain. They literally picked Raavan from Lanka. In the previous film, they had hyped up Jackie Shroff’s villain character, but here, they catch him right away. I guess they needed to create a more powerful villain, so they brought in Arjun Kapoor as Raavan. I was surprised when I saw the poster because his look and expressions are really good, but I hope his character gets proper writing this time.

Now, I'm curious to see how this plays out—on one side, we have all these cops, who are practically superheroes at this point, and on the other side, there’s Raavan. I also wonder how long they’ll keep expanding this Cop Universe before it becomes too much. A while ago, Stree was handled well with its connected universe, but this feels like their Avengers-level movie.

One thing to note is the buzz on the internet about all the double roles in the Cop Universe. People are pausing the trailer to see how all the characters are connected, which wasn’t planned from the start. If you’re shocked to see Salman Khan’s name in the mix, you’re not alone. Apparently, there are rumors that Salman has set aside a day to shoot his cameo, which will most likely appear in a post-credit scene, teasing future movies.

However, this does create some confusion because Kareena Kapoor, who plays Ajay Devgn’s wife, had an item song in Dabangg 2. Plus, if Chulbul Pandey (Salman’s character) is going to appear, he’s an inspector, but all the other cops, like Akshay, Ajay, and Ranveer, are DCP or higher-ranked. So does that mean Chulbul is the lowest-ranked? Anyway, we shouldn't overthink it.

The real question now is: should Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 change its release date? Personally, I think it might be a good idea to push it back a week or two because there's already so much happening with Singham Again
