In episode 4 of Agatha All Along, we get more insight into the story and characters, with a few important details that build up the plot further. The episode starts with the death of Mrs. Hart, also known as Sharon.
This event makes us realize that Sharon wasn't just a normal person—she had some hidden powers. Agatha even calls her a "kind of witch." This explains why the gates to the coven were open because Sharon had some innate powers, even if she didn’t know how to use them. Her powers were the reason behind these supernatural events, and it's likely she was part of a group called the Green Witches.
The episode also introduces a key character, Alice, who explains that her mother's death happened on the same road. This is where things get interesting because, in the comic books, Alice’s mother has a different name—August Wu. Here, the show changes her name to Lorna Wu and adds more layers to the story. In the comics, Alice’s mom dies due to a demon, and Alice spends her time trying to hunt down this demon. In the show, Alice discovers that she has inherited her mother’s powers, and she uses them to fight the dark forces that were responsible for her mother’s death.

One important scene in the episode shows the characters walking down a road until they arrive at a cabin with a waxing moon sign on its door. The waxing moon symbolizes a phase where the moon grows from new to full. Inside the cabin, things take a strange turn with references to old rock music, and we notice posters of famous rock bands like Fleetwood Mac. This is a nod to the idea that Alice’s mother was part of a rock band, and through their music, they tried to open the witches’ road.
Later, we learn about a curse affecting Alice. This curse is passed down from generation to generation, but her mother’s song acts as a protective spell that shields Alice from its effects. The characters sing a rock version of a song called "Down Down Down the Road" to break the curse, showing how music plays a significant role in the series.

Another key moment in the episode is when Agatha’s vulnerability is exposed. A character named Rio Vidal notices this, hinting at a deeper connection between the two. Rio even tells Agatha that Billy, one of the characters, is not her son. This revelation adds more mystery to the storyline, especially since Agatha has been searching for her son, Nicholas, throughout the series.
The episode ends without a major cliffhanger, but it leaves us with a lot to think about. Rio's character might be more important than we realize, and there’s a theory that she could be Lady Death, a character from Marvel comics who represents death itself. If this is true, it could explain why Rio seems to know so much about death and curses.
