Outer Banks Season 4 Part 1 Ending Explained

The latest season of Outer Banks has been released, and it starts right where season 3 left off. After finding Eldorado, the group is now searching for Blackbeard’s lost treasure. There are many surprises and different stories happening, and one of the scariest parts is when it seems like Sarah and Pope are in big trouble. Let’s talk about what happens in the first part of season 4.

As we get to the end of the first part, all the characters are facing some danger. Sarah and Pope are trapped in catacombs (underground tunnels) in Charleston. Water is rising, and it looks like they might drown. Cleo is trying to get revenge on Lightner, the man who killed Terrance, someone like a father to her. John B is still sad about his father’s death, but he can’t bring himself to kill Lightner even though he had the chance. JJ just found out that Luke isn’t his real dad, and his mom, Lissa, is part of the Genred family.

The big story of this season is about finding Blackbeard’s treasure. Wes Genred, one of the characters, thinks his family is cursed, and finding the treasure will break the curse. Several people, including Wes, have been murdered. They were strangled (choked to death), and it seems like Lightner is responsible because he tried to strangle Cleo twice.

Wes’s son-in-law is also suspicious. He quickly blamed the group for Wes’s murder, probably to hide his own guilt. He likes the money and status that comes from being part of the family, so he might have killed Wes to take it all for himself. He probably doesn’t know that JJ is related to the family and could inherit the money.

At the end, Lightner finds Blackbeard’s amulet (a special necklace) and discovers that the treasure is hidden in Charleston. He and his gang arrive at the cemetery at the same time as the OBX group. They trap Sarah and Pope in the catacombs with the water rising, making it seem like they might drown. But it’s likely that Sarah and Pope will find a way out and continue searching for the treasure.

Another important part of the season is about Rafe, who is dealing with his father’s death. He is tricked by a woman named Hollis into investing his money in her projects. Even though his sister, Sofia, tries to warn him, Rafe doesn’t listen and ends up signing the papers. He’s now in danger of losing all his money. Rafe also hears his father’s voice in his head, telling him that family is the most important thing. It looks like Rafe might try to fix his relationship with his sister, Sarah, especially since he’s lost almost $400,000.

JJ’s story is also really interesting this season. He has always felt like he didn’t belong, but this season, he starts to feel more at home after the group uses the money from the Eldorado gold to build their own store. However, JJ makes some bad choices, like overpaying for land and betting their last piece of gold on a race, which he loses. This leads them to search for Blackbeard’s treasure. Just when JJ starts feeling like he belongs, he is now being blamed for the murders. In the next part of the season, JJ will probably go through a lot as he tries to figure out who he really is.

Overall, the first part of season 4 was exciting. There were different stories happening, and every character had something important to do. Unlike other seasons, no one was left out, and the pace of the show was fast. However, the treasure hunt didn’t feel as exciting as season 3, since it was more focused on one item. Hopefully, part two will make the treasure hunt feel bigger and more thrilling.

JJ’s character was really interesting this season, and his personal struggles made his story more fun to watch. The whole cast did a great job with their roles, and the interactions between the characters were enjoyable. My only complaint is that we don’t know much about the main villain yet, but I’m sure more will be revealed in part two. I also have a feeling that one of the main characters might die, and it seems like Rafe’s story could be coming to an end.

With part two coming out soon, fans are excited to see how the season wraps up. Until then, we can only guess what will happen next!
